Illegal Immigrants

Should illegal immigrants be sent back from where they came from or should they become naturalized? Explain

  1. Illegal immigration is an issue in the United States today. Many people come into America illegally. I understand that they want to live in a place with freedom, but at some point this needs to stop! I do not believe that it is fair that we have to pay high taxes that help these illegal immigrants. It is unjust that there are many of our citizens that do not even get insurance, and need help also. They should be taken care of first. We cannot accommodate all the illegal immigrants that are coming to our country.

  2. I believe illegal immigrants should be sent back to where they came from. They should only be naturalized only if they decide to go through the procedures necessary to become a citizen. It really is unfair to US citizens as well as those immigrants who acutally go through the process. They have no right to live in America if they cannot follow simple policies like this. We all want the same freedom and equality to live prosperously. It is important to follow US policies to prevent bigger, more complicated conflicts from occuring.

  3. In response to the question, I believe that illegal immigrants should be sent back to the country they came from. I agree that the United States has more opportunities in like than most other countries. As a result people from around the world seek to live in a country like the US. They want to live the American Dream.

  4. Although illegal immigrants are in fact NOT ALLOWED to be living in the country, I would like to take it as a compliment if I were the general American Society.

People who grow up in countries where they do not get a lot of freedoms or who are not allowed to leave the country dream of following the American Dream. The American Dream to me, though, is the ultimate goal of finding success and reaching higher than you'd ever expect to achieve pride and satisfaction. It is the ultimate freedom of having equal opportunities to strive to become what you want. Whether it would be an Owner of a Five Star Filipino Restaurant or the CEO of Google.

Anyways, it flatters me that people would come ALL the way here illegally and believe it is a safer place than where they live.

However, since they are illegal they must become naturalized to start their dream on a safe note. If they don't want that opportunity, then just GO HOME!

  5. I think that they should be sent back. It isn't fair to the immigrants coming in legally who have to go through the whole process. Also, if we didn't send them back the US would be saying they don't care if illegals come over and eventually we would all suffer. If they want the same opportunities they should have to go through the process just like everyone else.

  6. I believe that illegal immigrants should be sent back. They shouldn't be allowed to stay because the United States is already overpopulated and allowing illegal immigrants to stay will just create more population. It also isn't fair that these illegal immigrants are staying in America and they don't have to pay taxes. They benefit from the tax money but they don't put any money into it. It isn't fair for illegal immigrants to stay while other immigrants have to go through the immigration process. Illegal immigrants should have to go through the immigration process in order to become a legal American citizen. I understand why people do want to come to the US because the US has so much to offer. The US offers many more freedoms than most countries.

  7. Immigrants is such a difficult subject to talk about because it is a complex subject that has several aspects to it. I believe that if an illegal immigrant is working here in California and trying to become a positive person of society, then it is okay for them to say. As Kevin just said, it is not fair for other immigrants to go through the immigrant process. If I look at it from that point of view, I don't think it is fair. But life isn't fair so stuff we don't want to happen is going to happen and we just have to accept it.

  8. IF IMMIGRANTS WANT TO COME TO AMERICA AND STAY HERE TO BE CITIZENS, THEY SHOULD BE HELPED TO DO THAT. AMERICA SHOULD SHOW ITS KINDNESS NOT ITS CRUELTY.MANY IMMIGRANTS COME HERE WITH GOOD SKILLS AND CAN CONTRIBUTE TO AMERICA AND ITS WORK FORCE AND CULTURE. AMERICA WAS FORMED BY IOMMIGRANTS

  9. Illegal immigrants are perfect examples of a common misconception of American Dream. The Dream is to be fulfilled at the most sincerest level of all Americans. When illegal immigrants come to America, they cheat their way to the Dream, dishonor American values, and jeopardize America's honored name.

  10. Should illegal immigrants be sent back from where they came from or should they become naturalized? Explain

This issue can be seen rather be seen in many situations both good and bad. The good thing is,people who have been struggling in their country come to America since it is a place of freedom and oppurtunity. But I ask is it? My Uncle and Aunty who have finally came here after waiting 22 years from the Philippines find it hard to find a job now especially in this bad economy and esp. because of their age. Although they get better medical here, I always ask myself are they happier here? Now, as for illegal immigrants, I believe that its not fair for those who want to come here and can't because they want a "better future". If America is a place of liberty and freedom, why then isnt everyone given a chance? Illegal immigrants who work hard to survive for their families and themselves should be given a chance. However those who break laws and make America more chaotic than it is today should be sent home. The question is: How will we ever know who should be given a chacne or not?

  11. I think illegal immigrants should become naturalized only if they follow the correct and complete procedures of becoming a United States citizen. There are so many people who long to taste the freedom and opportunity in the United States; however, it is only fair for all immigrants to go in order and complete the procedures. I think it is necessary for the immigrants to go through the complete procedure. Just because so many people want freedom does not mean we can allow everyone into our country. Our country is already overpopulated so I think many illegal immigrants may have to be sent back to their country no matter what.

  12. I believe that illegal immigrants should be sent back. In order to fulfill the American Dream, they should undergo the whole process in order to experience this dream- just like everyone else. People are struggling during this economy crisis- is it fair that most of them are able to get jobs or still have jobs when we are struggling too? In reality, the con of sending the illegal immigrants back is that it would be a long and difficult process, but what needs to be done, needs to be done- unless they agree to undergo the process.

  13. I think that illegal immigrants should become naturalized. We can help them by educating them to pass the test. If we are willing to do help, they should be willing to follow all the laws. If they become criminals, they should be deported. If they are not here to cause trouble then they could stay. But if they start creating a lot of disruptive events, then I say kick them out. It’s important to accept other immigrants into our country because it helps create diversity. What would the country be like if we didn’t allow any immigrants in?

  14. I believe illegal immigrants should be sent back to the country they came from. There are so many illegal immigrants currently living in our country. They are basically living life for free because unlike them, we have to pay for taxes. Our taxes go to the government and pay for many institutions. For example, if someone, even an illegal immigrant, goes into a hospital and asks for help, the hospital cannot turn them down. The government is paying for that service and we provide that money to our government through our taxes. They also take away jobs that citizens might need. By allowing illegal immigrants into our country, we are hurting ourselves as a country. I believe if a person wants to live in America and be a citizen, he or she should go through the naturalization process so that it is legal and official.

  15. I think illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay here with some restrictions. Deporting them will make them come back again. Some people I know are immigrants. If immediate deporting was in effect since start, I would now even be here, since my families were illegals before. People have to remember that just about everyone, except Natives, are immigrants. Only starting recently did we call them illegal.

  16. Illegal immigration is and has been a very debatable issue in the United States for the past years. I feel that the illegal immigrants work hard for the money they make and don't complain. My step mom's parents own a ranch and through that, I have realized that the illegal immigrants do much more work and work harder than those who think they should be getting paid more for hard work. There are also those illegal immigrants who live in fear everyday of being deported back to their own country. If you think about it, America wouldn't even exist if it weren't for immigrants in the beginning. We should accept everyone and be able to realize that these immigrants are trying to better themselves and their lives just like each and every one of us.

  17. All people in America besides the Natives are immigrants, but I think that the illegal immigrants should not be allowed to stay here in the United States so long as they do no go through the paperwork process and documentation like everyone else who had immigrated here from other countries. I feel as if those who are already here or came here legally in turn, do suffer from the actions of illegal immigrants. One area in which people complain most about is the job situation. With the economy suffering, individuals choose to blame the illegal immigrants for taking their jobs when in fact, they are the jobs (manual labor-picking strawberries) that people would not even want to do anyhow. Besides that, I think that those illegal immigrants who want to be a part of our country should go through the correct steps necessary to gain our citizenship/right to be here.

  18. I honestly dont think that immigrantsshould be sent back, i mean if they are here already what's the trouble in letting them stay. Some of them stay for 15 years and then have to be sent back home after they have established families here. IT's only going to be the samething if you send them back.
